BATH TOWNSHIP, Ohio – Police are investigating a shooting at a large party held at an Airbnb in Bath Township, resulting in nine injuries.The incident occurred in the 900 block of Top O Hill Drive during a birthday party primarily attended by juveniles.

Officers responded to multiple 911 calls reporting shots fired around 12:16 a.m. sunday, according to Bath Police Chief Vito Sinopoli. He stated that many partygoers fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

First responders provided immediate life-saving aid to the victims before transporting them to local hospitals, Chief Sinopoli reported.

The victims, a mix of juveniles and adults, were shot at the party, which had been widely promoted on social media. While at least nine people were injured, the exact number sustaining gunshot wounds is currently unknown.

“This kind of violence is unacceptable in our community, and we’re committed to providing all available resources to this investigation,” Sinopoli said.

Summa Health confirmed it received three victims: two were treated and released, and one remains hospitalized. Cleveland Clinic admitted six victims for treatment.

Some victims independently sought medical attention by transporting themselves to hospitals, Sinopoli added.
