West Ham United Launches New Lager, Claret & Brew

West Ham United has launched a new lager, Claret & Brew, created in collaboration with official beer partner BrewDog. It’s designed specifically for the club’s supporters.

The 4.5% ABV amber lager will first be available on draught at London Stadium for the Premier League match against Liverpool on November 30th. Following the game, a limited edition canned range will be available for purchase through BrewDog’s online store starting December 2nd.

Former West Ham striker Carlton Cole played a role in brewing the lager and is featured in the promotional campaign. He’ll be serving pints to fans at the stadium before the match. This collaboration builds on previous work between west Ham and BrewDog, including grassroots kit donations and fan events in the United States.

Nathan Thompson, Executive Director at West Ham United, said, “The launch of Claret & Brew, a bespoke beer created with BrewDog for West Ham United fans, shows our shared goal of delivering exciting experiences for our supporters.BrewDog has really shown commitment to our fanbase, from donating kits to grassroots teams earlier this year to now creating a product that celebrates our club’s identity.”

“This partnership is all about the fans. I’m excited to see them enjoying a Claret & Brew at london Stadium on Sunday, and for the wider launch of the limited-edition cans soon after,” Thompson added.

Carlton Cole shared,”It was great to be involved in making ‘Claret & Brew’. I had to make sure it got the West Ham seal of approval – I felt the pressure to get it right for the fans, but I knew I was the man for the job! It’s brilliant to have a dedicated West Ham United beer, and I know the Claret & Blue army will raise a Claret & Brew on Sunday at London Stadium. I’m looking forward to pouring some pints for the fans before the Liverpool game.”
