Ukraine Faces Record-Breaking Russian Attack: Details
Foreign Minister andrei Sibiga stated that during a massive attack on the night of November 8,Russia launched a record-breaking number of missiles and drones against Ukraine.
According to Sibiga, the Russians used various types of missiles, including cruise missiles, ballistic missiles, and kamikaze drones. He emphasized that this was the largest attack since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
“Last night, Ukraine faced the largest number of missiles and drones launched together as the start of the war.Our air defense systems successfully intercepted a significant portion of the incoming threats, but regrettably, there were also hits,” Sibiga reported.
He added that the attack targeted critical infrastructure, including energy facilities, causing power outages in several regions. Emergency services are working to restore electricity and provide assistance to those affected.
Sibiga called on Ukraine’s international partners to expedite the delivery of additional air defense systems and ammunition to strengthen Ukraine’s defense capabilities. He stressed that continued support is crucial to protect Ukrainian cities and citizens from further Russian aggression.
The Ukrainian Air Force reported intercepting dozens of missiles and drones, but the exact number of casualties and damage is still being assessed. The attack underscores the escalating intensity of the conflict and the urgent need for increased international assistance to Ukraine.
