Chaminade University of Honolulu recently welcomed new students with its New student Orientation (NSO) and a series of “Welcome Week” activities designed to help them transition to campus life. According to Vice President of Student Affairs, Dr. Allison Creech,NSO is more than just a campus introduction. “[NSO] is your first chance to meet faculty, staff, and fellow students, explore resources and start living the values that shape the Chaminade community,” she stated. Dr. Creech emphasized the importance of orientation, noting it “helps you hit the ground running both in the classroom and beyond.”

The welcoming activities extended into the weekend with a shopping mall excursion and a hike up Diamond head led by Chaminade University President Lynn Babington. Students also enjoyed a popcorn party, a picnic, and a trip to Waikiki beach as part of the “Welcome Week” schedule.
