Six communities remain on alert for rains and storms

Castilla y León, Catalonia, La Rioja, the Basque Country, Navarra and Aragon continue on alert before the possible appearance of intense rains and storms during this Thursday. These precipitations will have special incidence in areas of the Pyrenees and the banks of the Ebro which reflects important risks in these last two regions.

Aragón, for its part, maintains the orange alert throughout the community due to accumulated precipitation that is expected to release up to 30 liters in an hour and that there will be persistence of intense showers. In addition, Aemet warns that in some areas the appearance of large hail and associated very strong gusts of wind.

The Foral Community of Navarra is in the same situation, where They have also activated the orange level in areas of theBank of the Ebro. On the other hand, in the center of the community and in the Pyrenees there is a yellow warning (risk) due to rains that will leave 20 liters in an hour.

In the provinces of Burgos and Soria (Castilla y León), Barcelona, ​​Girona and Lleida (Catalonia), Álava and Guipúzcoa (Basque Country) and in La Rioja, the yellow warning is maintained for rain with a rainfall between 15/20 liters in an hour. In addition, Córdoba and Jaén (Andalusia) are with yellow alert for heat, up to 38 degrees.

The Aemet warns that with the orange alert there is a significant meteorological riskwith a certain degree of danger for usual activities, and with yellow there is no meteorological risk for the population in generalalthough yes for some specific activity.
