Senior Minister Lee Hsien Loong and his wife, Ho Ching, recently enjoyed a performance by local busker Bryan Wong at Rainforest Wild Asia in Mandai Wildlife Reserve. The unexpected audience member delighted Wong, who shared the encounter on his Instagram account on February 14, 2026.

Busker’s Surprise Encounter

Bryan Wong, known as “brylights” on social media, was performing at Rainforest Wild Asia when he noticed the Senior Minister and Madam Ho Ching in the crowd. Wong initially appeared “stunned like vegetable,” according to his Instagram caption, and was unsure whether to acknowledge their presence.

After realizing the audience had already noticed Mr. Lee, Wong announced his presence to cheers from the crowd. He described the Senior Minister as “remarkably nice” and noted that he waved to the audience.

A Playful Exchange

During the performance, Wong playfully joked with Mr. Lee, saying, “Sir, you’re really cool, but this is still my present.” The exchange was well-received by the audience, creating a memorable moment for both the performer and the attendees.

Regrets and Positivity

Despite the positive experience, Wong expressed some regret that he hadn’t brought his 360 camera to capture the interaction. He had also decided to use a heavier Cyr wheel, which made the performance more challenging. Still, he ultimately remained positive, describing the experience as “really fun.” An audience member did manage to capture a video of Wong performing as Mr. Lee and Madam Ho clapped.

Recent Visits to Wildlife Reserves

This wasn’t Mr. Lee’s only recent visit to a Singapore wildlife reserve. He also recently confirmed a visit to Bird Paradise, sharing photos of the park’s residents, as reported by Mothership.sg.
