SMU Wins Three Events in Home Dual Meet Competition

DALLAS (SMU) – SMU Women’s Swimming & Diving won three events and saw one program top-10 performance on day one of its double dual meet against Arizona and TCU at Robson & Lindley Aquatic Center, Thursday.

Jimena Leal, Annemarie Vlaic and Isabella Krantzcke each won an individual event. Vlaic broke into the program’s top-10 performers list in the 200 fly with a time of 1:57.59.

1650 Free

Karly boles placed third in the 1650 Free by clocking 16:51.07.

Madeleine Hebert threw down a time of 17:02.68 to place fifth.

100 Back

Jimena Leal placed first in the 100 back by clocking 53.48 in the 100 back.

Summer Osborne placed seventh with a time of 54.90, Maddie Reynolds clocked 56.64 to place ninth and Madeleine Hebert came in 11th with a 57.01 time.

SMU Swimming & Diving Competes in Double Dual Meet – Day One Results

DALLAS, TX – The SMU Mustangs competed in the first day of a double dual meet at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center, achieving several strong performances against their competition.

50 Free

Maddy Parker finished seventh in the 50 free with a time of 23.63.

200 Fly

Annemarie Vlaic and Cassidy Allison dominated the 200 fly, securing a one-two finish with times of 1:57.59 and 2:00.54, respectively. Vlaic’s time ranks her ninth in the SMU program’s all-time bests. Jimena Leal placed fourth in the event, clocking a 2:03.42, while Carlotta Scarpitti finished tenth with a time of 2:09.48.

100 Free

Maddy Parker earned a third-place finish in the 100 free,recording a time of 49.05. Summer Osborne followed closely in fourth place with a time of 49.25.Chloe Corbin placed seventh (50.43), and Karly Boles finished ninth (51.40).

1-Meter Diving

Ava Andersen secured a third-place finish on the 1-meter board with a score of 240.15. Sadie Klepfer placed fourth, scoring 234.00 points. Reagan evans finished ninth (222.65 points), and Macey Oppliger placed eleventh (217.65 points).

200 IM

Isabella Krantzcke claimed victory in the 200 IM with a time of 2:01.49. Cassidy Allison placed fourth (2:03.59), while Maddie Reynolds finished eleventh (2:10.46) and Carlotta Scarpitti placed twelfth (2:13.43).

200 Free Relay

The SMU relay team of maddy Parker, Summer Osborne, Chloe Corbin, and Madeleine Hebert finished as the runner-up in the 200 free relay, touching the wall at 1:29.91. They were narrowly out-touched by Arizona, who won with a time of 1:29.88. A second SMU team comprised of Karly Boles, Maddie Reynolds, Carlotta Scarpitti, and Cassidy Allison placed sixth with a time of 1:36.62.

The mustangs will conclude their double dual meet tomorrow, with events beginning at 10:00 AM CT at the Robson & Lindley Aquatics Center.
