Snail Mail Announces Third Album, ‘Ricochet,’ and Spring Tour
Lindsey Jordan, the creative force behind Snail Mail, is set to release her third studio album, Ricochet, on March 27, 2026, via Matador Records. The announcement follows the release of the lead single, “Dead End,” and a captivating music video for her latest track, “My Maker,” filmed live from a hot air balloon.
‘Ricochet’: A Latest Chapter for Snail Mail
Ricochet marks Jordan’s first album in five years, succeeding her critically acclaimed 2021 release, Valentine. The album is described as a return to form for the songwriter, showcasing “clear-eyed and honest” lyrics coupled with “expansive and hypnotic melodies and ornate string arrangements.” Matador Records
“My Maker” and the Pursuit of Freedom
The music video for “My Maker,” directed by Jordan and Elsie Richter, was inspired by the song’s lyrics, specifically the line “Above us, it’s just sky.” Jordan shared that it took six canceled attempts to secure a ride in a hot air balloon for the shoot, emphasizing her desire to visually represent themes of mortality and the acceptance of fate.

Snail Mail will embark on a North American tour beginning in April 2026 to support Ricochet. The tour will feature support from Sharp Pins at most shows, with additional performances by Avalon Emerson & The Charm, Swirlies, Armlock, and Rocket. Pitchfork
