Snapchat’s Spectacles have been available as AR glasses since 2021. Before that,users had to see AR effects through the app on their phones. In 2026, the next generation of Spectacles will be released – and developers can sell digital products and premium features directly within Spectacles Lenses for the first time. Snapchat has also announced these new features for the specs:

• AR Studio 2.0: A new version of AR Studio with improved tools for creating AR experiences.

• Lens Cloud: A platform for hosting and managing AR Lenses.

• Spectacles Enterprise Services: Services to help businesses use Spectacles for training, remote assistance, and other applications.
