Chungnam TV,the official YouTube channel run by South Chungcheong Province,has demonstrated important growth,exceeding 100,000 subscribers in just six years since its launch.This achievement was further recognized with three awards at the 2025 Korea Major Dialog Awards, solidifying its position as a leader in local government digital communication.

Chungnam TV’s subscriber count has more than doubled annually, growing from 12,000 in 2022 to 30,000 in 2023, 50,000 in 2024, and reaching 100,000 this year. This rapid expansion highlights the success of South Chungcheong Province’s content experimentation.

The province has embraced diverse content formats across eight SNS channels, including YouTube and Instagram, such as AI-driven content, parody videos, and features on local specialties. These efforts coincided with the launch of new platforms, significantly expanding the province’s overall SNS reach. The addition of kakaotalk channels, Threads, and an English Facebook page increased the total number of subscribers to 600,000 this year – a rise of approximately 130,000 compared to the previous year.

This success has been acknowledged through numerous accolades, including the grand prize in the metropolitan local government category at the 15th Korea SNS Awards, the overall grand prize at the Korea Communication Awards (public sector), and the grand prize in the metropolitan government category at the korea Social Media Awards.
