SpaceX to Launch 29 Starlink Satellites from Cape Canaveral on Sunday Night

A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket is scheduled to launch 29 Starlink satellites into low-Earth orbit from Space Launch Complex 40 (SLC-40) at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Florida on Sunday, March 1, 2026.

Launch Details

Liftoff is currently targeted for 9:56:40 p.m. EST (0256:40 UTC), with a launch window extending to 11:07 p.m. ET . The Falcon 9 will ascend on a northeasterly trajectory. This will be SpaceX’s 22nd mission of the year supporting its broadband internet satellite constellation .

Booster and Landing

The mission will utilize Falcon 9 first stage booster with tail number 1078, marking its 26th flight . Approximately 8.5 minutes after liftoff, B1078 is expected to land on the droneship ‘Just Read the Instructions,’ positioned in the Atlantic Ocean off the coast of South Carolina . If successful, this will be the 152nd landing on this vessel and the 580th booster landing for SpaceX to date.

Viewing Opportunities

Depending on weather conditions and cloud cover, the launch may be visible as far north as Jacksonville Beach and as far south as West Palm Beach . The 45th Weather Squadron forecasts a 90 percent chance of favorable weather, with a little chance of interference from cumulus clouds .

SpaceX will provide a live webcast of the mission, beginning approximately five minutes before liftoff, available on the SpaceX website and on X (@SpaceX).
