China Sports and Culture Expo Opens in Suzhou
People’s Daily Suzhou,September 13 (Reporters Zhang Fan and Yang lei) The 2025 china Sports and Culture Expo and China sports tourism Expo opened today,September 12,at the Suzhou International Expo Center.

This year’s expo centers around the theme “sports gather to bring a better life.” More than 500 organizations are participating, including sports departments from all 31 provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities across the country. This marks a significant reunion for the national sports community.
Nearly 20 units affiliated with the General Governance of Sports, such as the Boxing Taekwon Center, Gymnastics Center, Tennis Center, Small Ball Center, Chess and Card center, Equipment Center, and others, are also exhibiting.
Leaders and guests from the General Administration of Sports of China, the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government, local governments, sports bureaus from various provinces, autonomous regions, and municipalities, scientific research institutions, and exhibitors attended the opening ceremony. International Olympic Committee President Costy Coventry delivered a speech via video.
During the opening ceremony, Lin Qingfeng, the 69kg weightlifting champion from the 2012 London Olympics, donated Olympic gold medals to the china Sports Museum. Olympic champions Song Nina (Volleyball), Tang Gonghong (Weightlifting), Zhang Juanjuan (archery), Yang Xiuli (Judo), Deng Linlin and Guo Weiyang (Gymnastics), Zhao Yunlei (Badminton), Dong Dong (Trampoline), Zhao Shuai and Zheng Shuyin (Taekwondo), Chang Yuan and Li Qian (Boxing), Hong Wei (Badminton World Champion), and Gong Li (World Games Karate Champion) were present for the event.
