Stacey Solomon’s sons Zachary and Leighton are taking the first steps toward Hollywood stardom, landing roles on the popular British soap opera, Hollyoaks. The news sent ripples of excitement through fans on Tuesday when the official Hollyoaks Instagram account revealed a sneak peek of the brothers alongside cast members Charlie Clapham and Charlie Wernham.
The short clip showcases Zachary as a dedicated Parcel Patron worker, while Leighton embodies the classic role of a spirited paperboy. A playful interaction between Zachary’s character and Dawn Hope, who plays Pearl Anderson, immediately caught viewers’ attention. Pearl quips, "“My papayas I presume. I was expecting them first thing this morning. Round the back, please.” Leighton’s character earns a playful warning from Pearl: “Oh, late Leighton, what time do you call this to be collecting papers? I’ll be having a word with your mother. Go on.”
Fan reactions were swift, flooding the comments with excitement and surprised recognition. Many had to double-check before believing the news, while others eagerly speculated if this was a one-time appearance or the beginning of a lasting presence on Hollyoaks.
This foray into acting isn’t entirely uncharted territory for the pair. They’ve honed their performance skills on school stages, building confidence and experience under the lights.
This natural talent, combined with their enthusiasm, promises bright prospects in the world of entertainment. When asked about their preparation for their debut roles, Zachary and Leighton, in a joint interview with Archyde, explained they watched previous episodes of Hollyoaks to get a feel for the show’s dynamic and consulted with each other for support.
Zachary described his character, Tye, as "a bit more serious and focused than I am in real life. But just like me, he likes helping people." Leighton’s portrayal of Jake, on the other hand, aligns more closely with his playful and adventurous personality. He shared, “He’s quite playful and adventurous, which is actually pretty similar to me! He’s a bit mischievous too, delivering papers in his own unique way.”
Working alongside established Hollyoaks stars like Dawn Hope has been a valuable experience for the siblings. "She’s really nice and helped us a lot. My first scene was with her, and she made me really welcome," Zachary said fondly.
The siblings, while acknowledging the nerves that accompany any debut, expressed their excitement about sharing their talents with audiences.
The brothers’ arrival on Hollyoaks has generated considerable buzz, with fans eager to see them on screen. It’s a moment filled with excitement, anticipation, and a sense of promise – Zachary and Leighton are poised to make a lasting impression on the world of British television. Their heartfelt enthusiasm and commitment to their craft mark not just a debut, but the start of a journey toward success.
