MADRID, 9 Feb. (CulturaOcio) –
One of the trailers that have been shown at the Super Bowl LX has been that of The Mandalorian and Grogu, the film that will be released on May 22 and that will mean the return of Star Wars to theaters after almost seven years since its last theatrical release. But fans who were hoping for a preview that would reveal more of the plot have been left disappointed and they have had to settle for a short but nice teaser with the participation of a Yellowstone star.
The advancement of Madoojust over 30 seconds long, shows the two main characters moving through a snowy landscape on a sleigh pulled by tauntauns (a type of horse), in what seems to be a nod to the legendary Budweiser ads with Clydesdale horses.
The trailer also features the voice-over of Sam Elliot, although it is not known if the Yellowstone and Landman actor will appear in the film. “Sometimes we choose our path. Other times, the path chooses us”says Elliot’s voice.
A teaser that has disappointed fans, who were expecting a preview with a little more packaging and who did not take long to attack the “ridiculous” preview on social networks. ““The Star Wars marketing team has been resting on their laurels” or “Has Disney spent a fortune on this?”were some of the comments.
Do Lucasfilm believe Grogu is so big #TheMandalorianAndGrogu is a guaranteed hit, or is the marketing team just asleep at the wheel? SERIOUSLY concerned about that ridiculous Super Bowl slot.

I mean, the movie is out in 3 months time & all we’ve had is a teaser – and this is what you drop?? I’m getting serious Solo piss poor levels of marketing vibes. Crazy from @starwars as per usual 🤦🏻♂️#themandalorianandgrogu https://t.co/3wwa4JyZ8k

I like the #TheMandalorianAndGrogu Super Bowl ad BUT it is worrying that they really don’t seem too anxious to reveal more footage.
They’re promoting this movie like it’s a Disney+ series. That is NOT the way.
