    The Seattle Mariners unveiled Ichiro Suzuki’s bronze statue outside T-Mobile Park on April 10, 2026, depicting him in his 2001 rookie batting stance. The bat snapped during unveiling, drawing laughter from Ken Griffey Jr. And Edgar Martinez, and prompted a revised bobblehead giveaway. Sculptor Lou Cella worked closely with Suzuki to ensure accuracy, using the 2001 jersey as reference. The statue joins Griffey and Martinez as a tribute to Seattle’s franchise icons.
