KAI Commuter Prepares for Jakarta Protests

Jakarta, CNN indonesia – KAI Commuter is preparing for potential disruptions to KRL (Commuter Line) service on the Tanah Abang-palmerah route to anticipate worker demonstrations near the Indonesian Parliament on August 28, 2025.

One possible measure is the temporary closure of the Rangkasbitung KRL service between Tanah Abang Station and Palmerah Station.

“KAI Commuter will suspend the Rangkasbitung Commuter Line service from Tanah Abang Station to Palmerah Station if conditions along the line become unsafe,” said KAI Corporate Secretary VP Joni Martinus in an official statement on Wednesday, August 27, 2025.
