The Chateauroux Shooting Centre witnessed history unfold at the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. Tanguy De La Forest, France’s homegrown hero, etched his name in the annals of Paralympic history by bagging two medals, including a long-awaited gold in the R5 mixed 10m air rifle prone SH2. This victory marked the second time a host nation had secured gold in the sport at the Paralympics this century, a testament to De La Forest’s unwavering dedication and the power of home-crowd support.

India hosted its first-ever world shooting para-sport event in New Delhi, with China leading the way followed by Italy and host nation India. The event saw seven new world records set, solidifying the event as a major milestone for the sport.
