TelevisaUnivision Completes Upfront Negotiations

TelevisaUnivision has finalized its upfront negotiations, according too ADWEEK.

The Spanish-language network joins Disney, Fox, and NBCUniversal in completing this year’s upfront deals.Like its competitors, TelevisaUnivision has not revealed the total ad volume or CPMs (cost per thousand viewers).

A source close to the negotiations reports that TelevisaUnivision achieved “historic” digital volume this upfront,fueled by the expansion of its ViX streaming service. Overall volume for the core television business remained “consistent” with last year’s results.

The company’s ViX Música YA Fest events, combined with TelevisaUnivision’s live coverage of music, sports, and primetime programming, attracted a “record number of clients” to participate in the upfront. TelevisaUnivision unveiled ViX Música and its YA Fest during its upfront presentation in May.

Demand was also high for the company’s enhanced digital offerings.
