tennessee football quarterback Joey Aguilar had another hot start and a short day as the 15th-ranked Vols beat UAB 56-24.

Aguilar tossed two TD passes in the first four minutes of the game. UT (3-1) jumped out to a 49-10 lead over UAB (2-2), so Aguilar was replaced by backup jake Merklinger midway through the third quarter.

It was similar to Aguilar’s 288-yard passing performance in one half against ETSU in Week 2. Like that nonconference game, this was another blowout win.

Here’s a fast rundown of Aguilar’s performance against UAB on Sept. 20.
