Devin White Finds New Home with Texans After Eagles Release
Linebacker Devin White, who was recently released by the Philadelphia Eagles, has quickly found a new home with the Houston Texans.
The Texans announced White’s signing on Wednesday morning. White, 26, had initially signed a one-year deal with the Eagles this offseason following five seasons with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
White’s Recent History
Despite the move to Philadelphia, White didn’t see regular-season action for the Eagles this year, remaining inactive for their first four games. However, the talented linebacker enjoyed a strong 2022 season with the Buccaneers, recording 83 tackles, five tackles for loss, nine quarterback hits, and 2.5 sacks. He also showcased his coverage skills with five passes defensed and two interceptions.
Drafted fifth overall by Tampa Bay in 2019, White has a solid track record throughout his career. He has played in 76 games with 75 starts, accumulating 23.0 sacks, 40 tackles for loss, 64 quarterback hits, 21 passes defended, and three interceptions.
The Texans’ upcoming Sunday matchup pits them against their division rivals, the Indianapolis Colts.
