Austin, Texas – Preliminary data from the Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) indicates statewide crude oil production reached 126,578,372 barrels in December 2025, averaging 4,083,173 barrels per day. Natural gas production totaled 966,115,371 thousand cubic feet, averaging 31,165,011 thousand cubic feet daily. These figures are based on initial reports from operators and are subject to revision as more complete data becomes available.
Crude Oil and Natural Gas Production Totals
The RRC’s preliminary report details production from 157,151 oil wells and 83,134 gas wells across the state. It’s essential to note that the crude oil figures exclude condensate, which is reported separately by the Commission.
