The barometer of the Center for Sociological Research (CIS) corresponding to the month of December once again places the PP of Alberto Núñez Feijóo as the first force, giving him 33.2% in voting intention. Now, after already being behind in the previous November barometer, the socialists closed the gap to the PP with the formation of the new Government, achieving 31.8%. That is, the PSOE Pedro Sánchez is now only 1.4 points behind the PP. summer remains exactly the same, at 11.8% while Vox continues its particular decline, falling below 10% in voting intention to 8.5%.
This is the latest survey by the organization chaired by José Félix Tezanos, which was carried out days after the formation of the new PSOE and Sumar Government, between December 1 and 7. In any case, with the debate on the amnesty and its negotiation with the pro-independence parties at the forefront of political news.
If general elections were called today, the PP would win them again, as confirmed by the November barometer. In this sense, the demographic photography does not change compared to the one drawn a month ago by the CIS, since the PSOE remains the second force, followed by Sumar and, in fourth position, Vox.
Now, in just one month, the PP leaves a little more than half a point behind, going from 33.9 to 33.2% in voting intention. Even so, it is still slightly above the result achieved in the 23-J elections. On the contrary, the CIS of Tezanos boosts the PSOE, which gains half a point compared to the last barometer and is 1.4 points behind the PP.
The most notable drop is, however, the one that the survey attributes to Vox, which squandered 1.5 points in voting intention in just one month. Santiago Abascal’s party has dropped almost four points compared to its general result. The formation of Yolanda Díaz, however, remains unscathed by the internal crisis that opened as a result of the confrontation with Podemos, without positions in the Council of Ministers, and is the only formation that repeats the result compared to the previous barometer.
