Morante de la Puebla and El Juli, two of the main figures in the ranking, will go head to head on September 1 in Palencia, with the prologue within the same celebration of Diego Ventura, undisputed leader of the rejoneadores for several seasons.
Diego Ventura will ride two bulls owned by Guiomar Cortés de Moura, while Morante de la Puebla and El Juli Four Zacarías Moreno bulls will be raffled at the third celebration of the San Antolín de Palencia Fair (from August 30 to September 3), five celebrations presented this Tuesday by the Bullfighting Circuits/Pueblos del Toreo society.
They include the main figures and winners of the spring fairs: Sebastián Castella, Roca Rey, Daniel Luque, Tomás RufoAlejandro Talavente, Ginés Marín and Miguel Ángel Perera, as well as José María Manzanares and Cayetano.
And all this with the aim of placing the San Antolín Fair among the main ones on the national calendar and the bullring of Palencia at the level of the first category, as explained by the businessmen Carlos Zúñiga (Bullfighting Circuits) and Víctor Zabala (Pueblos del Toreo ), Next to the President of the Provincial Council, Ángeles Armisén.
First swords and top-level cattle are announced with the intention of continuing the path started in 2022 and the illusion of placing Palencia “at the doors of the first fairs category”, Zabala pointed out during the presentation.
