Carlos Amorín Lamas, 42 years old, nightclub bouncer Totem from the Navarrese town of Villava, has died after spending three days in a coma, in the ICU of the University Hospital of Navarra (HUN), as sources close to the victim have confirmed to Efe. The “high intensity” attack left him with serious brain injuries that required surgical intervention.
On Tuesday, two days after the deadly attack, the head of the investigative court number 5 of Pamplona decreed provisional prison without bail for Christian Camilo Monsalve, 27 years old and of Colombian origin, for an alleged crime of attempted homicide, when Carlos Amorín was still suffering from injuries that “pose a high life risk.” The identity of the detainee and death of the doorman has been announced by News from Navarre.
His death, judicial sources indicate, will entail a modification of the charges that will become consummated homicide.
On November 26, at around 4:55 a.m., a confrontation took place between several people outside the Totem de Villava room, in which, according to the car, the goalkeeper mediated trying to prevent the attacks from continuingmoment in which the accused “punched him” which caused him to “fall to the ground, unconscious, remaining in a coma.”
The victim suffered fractures and injuries for which he “required urgent surgical intervention”, which subsequently worsened.
