On June 13, by surprise and just minutes after the first formal meeting between its leaders, PP y Vox they lit for the Valencian Community the first of the five regional pacts that both parties have signed in 85 days after 28-M. The Valencian was an express agreement that sought to move the pulse away from the negotiations of the general election campaign, to close a coalition executive as soon as possible. However, it has been used at the same time as the basis for the rest of the government and legislature pacts between PP and Vox, including the one sealed yesterday in Murcia that has taken three months to move forward.

The haste of the Valencian pact, in fact, has served the popular to later try to amend what has been revealed as the great error of the negotiations: the transfer to Vox when buying its discursive framework that denies gender violence. The Valencian PP of Carlos Mazón agreed to write in the document “domestic violence” and not gender or sexist violence. And this despite having vetoed the entry into the regional government of the Vox leader convicted of psychological abuse of his ex-wife, Carlos Flores. The commotion was such that even the leader of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, had to intervene to publicly reaffirm the party’s commitment to the fight against gender violence.

However, this concept does not actually appear even once in the documents that have been signed below, although in the following ones there is already talk of “violence against women”. This was done in baleares y Estremadurawhich introduced the tagline “to eradicate sexist discourses that promote or justify violence against women”. Aragon repeated exactly this formula and MurciaFinally, he has summed it up with the commitment to “eradicate violence against all women”.

On the contrary, there are several themes that are repeated almost literally throughout the tens of pages that add up to the five documents. From the outset, everyone justifies the need to lay the foundations for “stable governments”, taking into account that only the experiment of the PP and Vox coalition government in Castile and Leon. Santiago Abascal’s party learned its lesson here and this time it has started – except in Extremadura – vice presidencies with a portfolio and, therefore, with specific powers.

The content of the programmatic agreements is almost a carbon copy of the tax and social policy sections. The five contemplate, for example, tax reductions, such as the reduction of personal income tax for medium and low wages, which is not lacking in any. The promise of a comprehensive law for the protection of families also appears in all of them, although only Aragon and the Balearic Islands are advancing a reform of their laws trans. The defense of the rural world or the fight against occupation illegal is another constant that repeats itself.
