The Police have already made five arrests for the fire at the unlicensed nightclub theater, from Murcia, in which 13 people died on October 1. But he will only close the circle of the investigation when he finds the whereabouts of a well-known businessman in the nightlife sector whose name has been key for the agents from the beginning. The troops are now focusing on locating Marco Andrés Martínez Alcázar, according to sources from the investigation, who despite not appearing as the owner of the Teatre nightclub, in 2017 acted before the Murcia City Council on behalf of the company that managed the nightclub at the time.
This is confirmed in the documentation published by THE WORLD October 6. He did it three months before, reveals the Commercial Registry, that the “official” owner of Teatre SL (Juan English Red, arrested this week) took charge of Teatre. Martínez Alcázar, the document reveals, made the request to the City Council from a company –Cool Levante SL Group.- of which, according to the Commercial Registry and hoteliers consulted, “it has never been a part.” “Everyone in Murcia knows that Teatre is theirs,” agrees a large group of hotel businessmen consulted by this newspaper. In fact, in 2018 local newspapers refer to Marco Andrés Martínez Alcázar as the “owner” of Teatre.
In the absence of news from the controversial hotelier, the agents are preparing a European arrest warrant – in case he is found on the continent – or filing an extradition order, the same sources reveal. To date, the Police have arrested Inglés Rojo, the person in charge of the nightclub, the person in charge of starting a cold machine (where the fire originated), the person in charge of the night shift and two other people. The case is being investigated for reckless homicide.
Inglés Rojo is, according to the businessmen consulted by this newspaper, outside the hospitality circuit of the Region. “No one knows him and no one knows anything about him.” This businessman was a partner in the lending company Omarux, which left some people homeless who asked for money with high interest to pay debts. For this reason, he was in provisional prison accused of crimes such as document falsification, fraud and appropriation, but he was acquitted in 2018. He is currently listed as administrator of more than twenty companies, as recorded in the Commercial Registry.
Another episode relevant to the investigation occurred in 2017 when the Local Police went to the nightclub and lifted a sanction, the nature of which is unknown. In the minutes that the agents delivered to the Murcia City Council, they stated their “surprise” at the fact that the person who presented himself as the owner in the final act “was not the same person with whom they were dealing during the time the process lasted.” », as stated in the report. The business activity of Martínez Alcázar and Inglés Rojo runs in parallel although it converges regarding Teatre in two very specific moments, extending to the present day, according to the data about their companies that appear in the Commercial Registry.
