THE ORAL CIGARETTES’ “ERASE” to Open Second Season of “Hell Teacher Nube” Anime

THE ORAL CIGARETTES’ new song, “ERASE,” has been chosen as the opening theme for the second season of the TV anime Hell Teacher Nube, set to premiere on January 7, 2026.

Hell Teacher Nube is a beloved and incredibly popular occult comic series that ran in “Weekly Shonen Jump” (published by Shueisha) from 1993 to 1999. It has sold over 29 million copies. The story follows Meisuke Nueno, a psychic teacher nicknamed “Nube,” who risks his life to protect his students from monsters and evil spirits. A new anime adaptation debuted in July 2025, and this proclamation covers the second season.

The second season will air on TV Asahi’s national “IMAnimation W” slot. A key visual for the upcoming season was also revealed alongside the theme song announcement.

Takuya Yamanaka (Vo/Gt) of THE ORAL CIGARETTES shared a statement about the collaboration:

“I’m truly honored to have been asked to create the theme song for Hell Teacher Nube, which I’ve watched since I was a child. The series’ worldview really resonates wiht that of THE ORAL CIGARETTES, and I was able to approach the song very directly. Just as Nube saves his students from darkness, I believe music exists to help us overcome the darkness we can’t escape on our own. We poured those feelings into this song, so please enjoy it along with the anime!”
