‘The permanent image’ wins the Espiga de Oro de la Seminci

The movie ‘The Permanent Image’, from the Catalan director Laura Ferreshas won the Golden Spike at the 68th Valladolid International Film Week (Seminci), while the feature film ‘La chimera’, by Italian director Alice Rohrwacher, has won the Silver Spike, according to the Palmares del festival made public this Saturday.

For her part, German director Angela Schanelec has won the Ribera del Duero Award for Best Direction for ‘Music’, a film that has also won Best Cinematography for Ivan Markovic; the British Molly Manning Walker has won the ‘Pilar Miró’ for Best New Director; Actor Dave Turner received the Best Actor Award for ‘The Old Oak’, by veteran British director Ken Loach, and French actress Léa Seydoux received the Best Actress Award for ‘The Beast’, by Bertrand Bonello.

Likewise, the International Jury of the 68th edition of the seed has awarded the ‘Miguel Delibes’ Award for Best Screenplay to Marco Bellocchio and Susanna Nicchiarelli for ‘The Abduction’ and the Best Editing Award has gone to Gesa Jager for the German ‘Teachers’ Room’
