The atmosphere on popular Dutch talk show Today Inside has been unusually charged in recent weeks. At the center of the storm lies a recurring joke by host Wilfred Genee involving his song “Just an Evening in the Pub,” which has ignited friction with his co-host Johan Derksen.
Geneer frequently uses the song, a humorous jab at Derksen, during episodes, a tactic that has earned a mixed reaction. While initially seen as a quirky bit, critics and viewers alike now find it gratingly repetitive.
