The week starts with storms and falling thermometers in much of the country

Los cloudy skies and storms, accompanied by drop in temperatures, will mark the first day of the week, in much of the country. They will be locally strong in the Cantabrian Sea and around the upper Ebro and north of the Iberian system.

This is how the prediction of the Meteorology Statal Agency (Aemet), which has assured that for this Monday they expect cloudy skies and precipitation accompanied by storms in much of the northern third of the peninsula, although it is not ruled out that they could also occur in the southeastern interior and in other areas of the northern half.

“They could be locally strong in the Cantabrian Sea and around the upper Ebro and north of the Iberian system. Cloudy intervals in the rest of the country, without ruling out some weak showers,” he underlines.

“The maximum temperatures will decrease, except in the Mediterranean area and the Canary Islands, where they will remain unchanged, as will the minimum temperatures,” the prediction continues.

As for the wind, it will blow from the southwest on the coast of Galicia, from the west in the Strait, from the south in the Ampurdán, from the east in the Balearic Islands and from the northeast in the Canary Islands. The wind will be light and variable in the rest.
