The National Police has rescued three immigrants hidden inside a refrigerated truck who had symptoms of suffocation upon arrival at the Algeciras port (Cádiz) from Tangier.
The agents noticed his presence while carrying out border inspection functions, when they heard various voices and blows coming from inside the truck load.
Given the situation, they proceeded to unseal the vehicle for its opening, locating inside three people of North African origin with obvious signs of fatigue and respiratory distress.
The agents quickly came to their rescue, giving them first aid and notifying the health services so that they could be transferred to the hospital. Punta Europa Hospital in Algeciras.
The action has been developed within the framework of the Operation Minervawhich tries to control irregular immigration flows from Africa, through regular passenger transport lines by sea to the European Union.
