Harry Potter Star Timothy Spall Visits Donegal’s Hanna Hats

Actor Timothy Spall, celebrated for his roles in the Harry Potter film series and acclaimed dramas like The King’s Speech, recently paid a visit to Hanna Hats of Donegal in Ireland. The visit took place last Friday, offering Spall and his wife, Shane, a firsthand look at the traditional craftsmanship behind the iconic Irish headwear.

A Tour of Traditional Craftsmanship

Hanna Hats, a third-generation family business established in 1924, welcomed Spall and his wife to their workshop in Donegal Town. The team at Hanna Hats expressed their delight in hosting the couple, providing them with a tour of the facility and demonstrating the meticulous process of hat and cap making.

“We were delighted to give them a tour – they were so interested to see how our hats and caps were made,” a representative from Hanna Hats stated. “They really made our Friday!”

Hanna Hats Goes International

The visit comes as Hanna Hats prepares for increased international exposure. The company is one of fourteen Irish consumer brands participating in the ‘Made in Ireland’ Pop Up event at the CF Toronto Eaton Centre in Canada.
