Vietnam Focuses on Tourism Quality and Domestic Growth

The Ministry of Culture, sports and Tourism is actively supporting localities in developing appealing, high-quality, and diverse destinations. This includes creating innovative, unique, and interregional tourism products. The Ministry is also dedicated to fostering the growth of cultural industries and entertainment, ensuring public benefit and participation in the promotion of cultural offerings.
Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh recently signed official press release n° 179/CD-TTG on September 29, 2025, outlining solutions to develop the domestic market in 2025.
The directive,sent to ministers,heads of ministerial-level organizations,government bodies,provincial and city Peopel’s Committee chairs,and leaders of state-owned companies and associations,emphasizes the need for proactive measures.
The global situation remains complex and unpredictable in the final months of 2025 and beyond. Erratic natural disasters, geopolitical tensions, military conflicts, regional instability, and a slowdown in global trade and investment pose direct challenges to Vietnam’s socio-economic progress.
To stimulate the domestic market, boost consumption, and contribute to achieving the national economic growth target of over 8% in 2025, the Prime Minister has tasked key stakeholders with implementing specific tasks and solutions.
A major dialog campaign will promote the “Vietnamese people favor Vietnamese products” initiative, highlighting the quality of locally made goods.
The Prime Minister has instructed the ministry of Industry and Trade to lead and coordinate with relevant ministries, agencies, and localities in deploying innovative and effective solutions. This includes launching a special communication campaign to reinforce the “Vietnamese people favor Vietnamese products” message and initiating a movement to promote Vietnamese products on both domestic and international e-commerce platforms.
