Surrey Trio Selected for England Men’s White-Ball Tour of India
Three Surrey players have been included in Brendon McCullum’s first England men’s white-ball squad for the upcoming tour of India. Jamie Smith, Jamie Overton, and Gus Atkinson will represent the county on the international stage as England takes on India in a five-match T20I series and a three-match ODI series.
McCullum Makes Bold Selections
This announcement marks a new era under McCullum’s leadership, with exciting young talent alongside experienced campaigners. Smith, the Surrey batting prodigy, finished the 2024 Vitality Blast as the county’s top run-scorer with 285 runs from eight innings. He will be hoping to make his T20 debut on this tour and impress the new head coach.
Overton continues in the squads after his impressive performance on the recent autumn tour of the West Indies, while Atkinson returns to the white-ball setup for the first time since the December 2023 tour of the West Indies.
