UNI Panthers Compete at Jackrabbit Invitational in Nevada

CEDAR FALLS, Iowa – The University of Northern Iowa (UNI) men’s golf team will continue its Spring season at the Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State University, in Boulder City, Nevada. The tournament will be held at the Boulder Creek Golf Club, a par-72, 7,300-yard course.

Tournament Details

The Jackrabbit Invitational will begin with a 36-hole shotgun start on Monday, March 9, at 8:00 am MT, followed by an 18-hole round on Tuesday, March 10, also starting at 8:00 am MT. UNI will be competing against a 10-team field including South Dakota State, Western Illinois, North Dakota, Southern Utah, Youngstown State, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University (Arizona), Morehead State, Missouri State, IU Indianapolis, and Kansas City University.

Past Performance

Last season, UNI finished third out of 10 teams at the Jackrabbit Invitational, with a total score of 891. Tanner Dinnebier led the Panthers, finishing 24th overall with a score of 230 (+14) over three rounds (79-79-72). South Dakota State won the team title last year, finishing with a score of 878, ahead of North Dakota.

Recent Results

In the Panthers’ previous tournament, the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate in Palm Desert, California, Calen Bishop tied for 52nd place with a total score of 219 (+3). Tanner Dinnebier tied for 63rd place, shooting 75-71-75 for a total of 221 (+5). Nile Petersen tied for 110th place with a score of 235 (+18), whereas Anthony Galvin placed 116th with a score of 238 (+22), and Cooper Hanson finished 120th, shooting 241 (+25).
