USI Women’s Soccer Projected Sixth in OVC

EVANSVILLE, Ind. – University of Southern Indiana Women’s Soccer is expected to finish sixth in the Ohio Valley Conference, according to a vote by the league’s head coaches adn dialog directors.

The OVC has 10 teams. Each team will play every othre team once, creating a nine-game conference schedule. The OVC tournament begins with first-round and quarterfinal games on campus on October 30 and November 2. The third and fourth-ranked teams will host those games.The semifinals and championship game will be played November 6 and 9 at the site of the top-ranked team.

Tennessee Tech University, the 2024 OVC regular-season champions, was ranked first in the preseason poll with 156 points and 14 first-place votes. Lindenwood University, the current OVC tournament champions, was second with 146 points and six first-place votes.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock and Morehead State University tied for third and fourth place with 127 and 103 points, respectively. Eastern Illinois University was fifth with 86 points, and USI was sixth with 78 points. Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (65), the university of Tennessee at Martin (64), Southeast Missouri State University (57), and Western Illinois University (18) completed the preseason poll.

Redshirt sophomore forward Eva Boer was named to the 2025 OVC Women’s Soccer Preseason Players to Watch List.Last season, Boer scored three goals – tied for the most on the team – and had one assist for a total of seven points.
