Dickson Sisters to Bolster Western Force in 2026 Super Rugby Women’s Season

The Western Force has announced the signing of teenage scrum-half Ai Dickson and the re-signing of her sister, Nami Dickson, for the 2026 Swyftx Super Rugby Women’s season.1

Ai Dickson: Rising Star from RugbyWA Pathway

Ai Dickson, 19, joins the Force after progressing through the RugbyWA women’s academy pathway system.1 She previously played for Cottesloe before moving to Wanneroo, where she secured back-to-back Fortescue Premier Grade premierships.1 Ai also impressed in the North vs South Women’s Series last year, contributing to North’s victory and lifting the inaugural Pomare Shield.1 She spent time training with the Force in 2025.

Nami Dickson: Experienced Back-Rower Returns

Nami Dickson, 18 months senior to Ai at 21 years traditional, returns for another season with the Force after making her Super W debut in Round 4 of the 2025 season against Fijian Drua.1 To gain more playing time, Nami recently competed with SG Valley in the Hong Kong Women’s Rugby Premiership, benefiting from the guidance of former Wallaroo Grace Hamilton.1 She was also part of the Force’s 2024 Japan Tour before earning her first Force contract.1 Like her sister, Nami has been a key player in Wanneroo’s recent Women’s premiership wins and developed through the RugbyWA pathway.

Coach Parsons Praises Local Talent

Force Super W head coach Dylan Parsons highlighted Ai’s development through the RugbyWA academy pathways, noting her improvement during training with the Kaizen Training Group and the mentorship of Sammy Wood.1 He also praised Nami’s proactive approach to her development, including her time playing in Hong Kong.1

“Ai is one of the younger cygnets who has graduated through RugbyWA’s academy pathways and developed through their good work,” Parsons said.1

“She’s been developing with us for another 12 months. She made some big steps last year, earning her Super W debut in her first contract year.”1
