“Words move worlds” – also beyond the time of the Leipzig Book Fair, which is not just reading pleasure, exchange and inspiration. She can initiate movement and thoughts (not only in the educational context).

The part -time classes of our educators started with an event in the German National Library and the exhibition on media history. We continued with a visit to the Français Leipzig Institute at the host country Norway – with excellent picture books and the question: What are criteria for a good picture book? In the literary house, our students experienced live Norwegian children’s literature including a workshop with parents and children under the direction of Björn F. Rorvic.

But why wander into the distance? With the presentation of Saxon book people, their work and current works such as Schimunek and Sünderwald, we have returned regionally. We discovered the possibilities of book work in the areas of short history and thriller with interesting insights into new worlds. With the knowledge “Reading needs passion and passion” we ended this excursion.

At this year’s didacta symposium, the experts discussed the preschool area. What are the success conditions and stumbling blocks when designing the transition from the daycare to elementary school? Who participates like in this transitional process?

In addition to specialist lectures, there were this year A panel discussion. Kim Sommer, technical student in the third year of training, participated as a representative of our project “Fit for the primary school” in the discussion “Transition between day care and school – the preschooler solves all transition problems?”. She reported on her experience in the project and, with her words, strengthened the importance of the preschool for every child.

Gender equality is one of the principles of our company. Linguistic equal treatment is an essential feature. For discriminatory usage, we use the Gender Star in all personal names in texts to conclude all genders and gender identities. Accidental deviations do not contain any intention to discriminate.
