Eau Claire’s comedy scene continues to thrive with “Win Something Weird!”, a live game show hosted by comedian Mackenzie Bublitz as part of the weekly “Loud Secrets” series at The Plus (208 S Barstow St.). The show combines stand-up comedy, local music, and a unique trivia competition, offering both entertainment and the chance to win a quirky prize.
How “Win Something Weird!” Works
“Loud Secrets” features a different comedian each week hosting and producing the show. Bublitz’s iteration invites audience members to participate in a Jeopardy-style trivia match against their fellow Eau Clarians. Contestants are selected through a lottery system, making it open to anyone in attendance.
The game consists of three rounds of general knowledge trivia. Winners receive $50 and “something weird”—a different, unusual item each week chosen by Bublitz. Organizers promise the “degrees of weirdness will vary, but it will always be something wacky and unique.”

“Win Something Weird!” isn’t just about trivia. The show similarly features stand-up comedy at the beginning and live music from a rotating selection of local musicians between rounds, creating a well-rounded entertainment experience.

General admission tickets are $10 per person. The first 20 ticket buyers receive a complimentary rail drink, soft drink, or select tap beer. Tickets can be purchased in advance online at volumeonetickets.org. Doors open for dinner service at 7:00 PM, with the show beginning at 8:00 PM.
