Women’s Heart Bus Returns to Argenteuil for Free Cardiovascular and Gynecological Screenings

From Wednesday, March 11 to Friday, March 13, 2026, the Argenteuil Atrium will host a key stage of the Bus du Coeur des Femmes, a national initiative focused on cardiovascular health for women. This operation aims to provide free screenings to nearly 5,000 women across 16 cities in 2026.

Addressing a Critical Public Health Issue

Cardiovascular disease remains the leading cause of death for women in France, claiming the lives of 72,078 women in 2023, compared to 64,161 men . Despite this, women often face delays in diagnosis due to hormonal specificities, a lack of awareness regarding symptoms, insufficient screening, and delayed care. In Argenteuil, 973 residents were treated for heart failure in 2022, a rate higher than the regional average .

What the Bus du Coeur des Femmes Offers

The Bus du Coeur des Femmes provides a comprehensive cardiovascular and gynecological screening process lasting approximately two hours, consisting of ten steps. The initiative has already screened over 20,000 women in five years, revealing that 90% of participants had at least two uncontrolled or unknown risk factors .

New for 2026: The House of Self-Tension Measurement

This year, the initiative introduces the “House of Self-Tension Measurement,” a dedicated space where participants can learn to accurately measure their own blood pressure and actively manage their cardiovascular health. This addition aims to empower women to take control of their well-being and strengthen local healthcare expertise.

Collaboration and Support

The Argenteuil stage is a collaborative effort between the Agir pour le Coeur des Femmes foundation, the municipality of Argenteuil, the Centre Hospitalier d’Argenteuil Victor Dupouy, the CPTS D’ARGENTEUIL, and the CPAM du Val-d’Oise. Nearly 5,000 volunteer health professionals – including general practitioners, cardiologists, gynecologists, nurses, and pharmacists – are mobilized nationwide to support the program .

How to Participate

The screenings are free, but registration is required. Women in vulnerable situations are particularly encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. More information and registration details can be found on the Agir pour le Coeur des Femmes website.
