## Franklin & Marshall Women’s Soccer: 2025 Season outlook
The Franklin & Marshall women’s soccer program is poised for another competitive season in 2025, building on the momentum of a landmark 2024 performance. Last year saw the Diplomats reach the Centennial Conference (CC) Championship game for the frist time in program history, a testament to their rising stature within the conference. ### A Balanced Schedule: Home and Away
The 2025 campaign features a carefully constructed schedule of 18 regular season matches, split evenly with 10 home games at Tylus Field and eight away contests. The season kicks off with a road trip to Catholic University on August 29th, immediately testing the team’s readiness.
The home portion of the schedule begins shortly after, on September 2nd, with a match against Elizabethtown College.This is followed by another home fixture against Washington & Lee University on September 6th, offering early opportunities for the Diplomats to establish a strong presence on their home turf. A mid-September road game against York (Pa.) on the 9th precedes a return to tylus Field to face Penn State Harrisburg on September 13th.
### Conference Play and Key Matchups
As September progresses,the intensity ramps up with the start of conference play. the Diplomats will officially open their CC schedule on september 20th against Muhlenberg College, coinciding with the annual True Blue Weekend festivities. This game is anticipated to be a meaningful early-season test. Further conference challenges include road matches at Washington college (September 24th) and Swarthmore College (September 27th).
October brings a concentrated period of home games, starting with Dickinson College on October 4th, followed by McDaniel College on October 8th, and mary Washington on October 11th.This three-game homestand provides a crucial chance to accumulate points in the conference standings. A road trip to Gettysburg College on October 15th breaks up the home stretch, before the Diplomats return for another three consecutive games against Johns Hopkins University (October 18th), Wilson College (October 22nd), and Haverford College (October 25th). The regular season concludes with away games at Ursinus College (October 29th) and Bryn Mawr College (November 1st).
### Postseason Goals
The Centennial Conference Tournament is scheduled for November 4th to November 9th, offering the Diplomats a chance to compete for the conference championship. Success in the CC Tournament could secure an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, where the first round is slated for November 15th. the ultimate goal for the team is to advance to the NCAA Final Four, which will be held in Salem, Virginia on December 4th, with the championship game following shortly after.
