Vulcans Fall to Gannon in Straight Sets

ERIE, pa. – The California University of Pennsylvania volleyball team suffered a 3-0 loss to Gannon university in Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC) action on Friday evening.

Gannon won by scores of 25-18, 25-16, and 25-19. The Golden Knights hit at a .348 clip, while the Vulcans posted a .152 attack percentage.

Senior outside hitter Peyton Tarr led Cal U with 10 kills and added seven digs. Freshman middle hitter Natalie Hayes contributed six kills and two blocks. Sophomore setter Kyla Propst tallied 22 assists.

Gannon was led by Madelyn Sobraske with 12 kills. Lauren Sampson registered 27 assists, and Emma Hall collected 14 digs.

The Vulcans return to action on Saturday, Oct. 11,with a 1:00 p.m. match against California (PA).
