Wright State Golfer Shane Ochs Finishes Strong at The Peoples Championship
ST. SIMONS ISLAND, GA – The Wright State University men’s golf team concluded competition on Saturday at The Peoples Championship, finishing 13th overall. Senior Shane Ochs led the Raiders with a notable performance, securing a tie for 16th place individually after a strong final round.
Ochs Closes with Impressive Round
Ochs began the final 18 holes tied for 43rd but surged up the leaderboard with a bogey-free round. He carded a four-under 67, highlighted by a pair of birdies and an eagle on the par-five fourth hole, finishing the tournament at one-under overall. This performance builds on his recent success, including winning the individual title at the Peoples Golf Championship in March 2025 [Wright State Athletics].
Team Results and Individual Performances
Ian Asch also improved his position on the final leaderboard, mixing four birdies and four bogeys for an even-par 71. He finished in a tie for 30th at two-over for the tournament. Timmy Hollenbeck recorded a nine-over 79 on Saturday, ending the week tied for 61st at seven-over. Landon Harris, competing as an individual, posted a one-under 70 in the final round, finishing at nine-over overall in a tie for 71st.
Adam Horn carded four birdies during his three-over 74, concluding play at 11-over in a tie for 80th. CJ Scohy finished at 15-over in a tie for 99th after a final round of 76.
