YouTube Launches New Monetization Features for Shorts

YouTube officially adds to the monetization option for the creator of the Shorts content by launching the Partnership Ads feature for the application campaign. Creators can now promote applications directly in their short videos, complete with panel invitation to act at the bottom of the screen.

Google explained that co-branded partnership ads presents more attractive and authentic advertising experiences. Because, this involves YouTube creators to improve campaign performance.

“In a particular ad inventory in admob, interactive ad format can also be used as a video cover, thus encouraging audience interaction,” Google explained, quoted from Social Media TodayFriday (8/15/2025),

For application developers, this update provides an opportunity to work with creators according to the target market through the Brandconnect platform. So, promotion can be more targeted.

In addition to the new monetization feature, Google also expands the access of AI Bidding tools for advertisers, including the ROAS bidding target which is now available on iOS. This value -based bidding method is proven to help applications from Indonesia, Uatas, achieved an increase of 7% Return on Ad Spend (ROAS) compared to the previous campaign.

Google also presents AI technology to facilitate adjusting ad content, such as expanding video display or adjusting it to various screen sizes without reducing important visual elements.

The monetization feature is currently only available for iOS users. Even so, Google ensures that it will soon release it on Android.
