Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7: Champions Never Fall to the Past – Launch Date and Latest Features

SINGAPORE, March 14, 2026 – HoYoverse has announced that Zenless Zone Zero Version 2.7, titled “Champions Never Fall to the Past,” will officially launch on March 24. The update centers around a Hollow Champion competition hosted by TOPS, bringing new agents and activities to the game.

New Agents Join the Roster

Version 2.7 introduces two new playable agents: Nangong Yu and Cissia. The update similarly features the return of Yidhari and Seed.

Cissia: Electric Attack Specialist

Cissia, an S-Rank Electric Attack agent, utilizes a unique Venom mechanic. Upon entering battle, she gains three stacks of Venom, each dealing Electric damage and temporarily increasing her CRIT Rate. She can generate additional stacks through her EX Special Attack and expend them with her Basic Attack: Serpent’s Kiss, unleashing bursts of damage.

Nangong Yu: Ether Stun Agent

Nangong Yu, an S-Rank Ether Stun Agent, enhances her team’s Anomaly Buildup Rate against Stunned enemies. She automatically regenerates Downbeat over time, with additional Downbeat restored when squad members inflict Anomaly on enemies. Accumulated Downbeat allows her to unleash powerful charged attacks, extending enemy Stun duration and accelerating her own Stun and Anomaly buildup. Her Ultimate, Ether Veil: Delusion Reprise, boosts the entire squad’s Attack. A new outfit for Nangong Yu is also available, and players can unlock an exclusive faction wallpaper by collecting all members of the Angels of Delusion.

Hollow Champion Competition and New Challenges

The Hollow Champion competition, hosted by TOPS, draws competitors vying for rewards, including the rare Porcelloy W-Engine. Participants include familiar allies like the Cunning Hares and the Sons of Calydon, as well as newcomers from the Public Security’s Metropolitan Order Division. Former Calydon Sweepers and the infamous Black Wolf Romeul are also entering the competition.

Romeul’s Corruptive Barrier

Romeul can activate a Corruptive Barrier in battle, increasing his CRIT Damage Resistance and Interruption Resistance while continuously damaging opponents. Teams utilizing sustained Anomaly damage can break through this barrier more efficiently.

In-Game Events and Updates

Beyond the competition, the Simmer Hot Pot Restaurant at Lumina Square hosts a themed event where players can assist Blaze. A special mission from HSOS 6 challenges players to complete a relay-style combat using three two-member squads. The Simulated Battle Trial has also been updated with new enemy lineups and bonus mechanics, offering opportunities to earn rewards like Polychromes, a namecard, and exclusive titles.
