Observe Veterans Day in Chandler this weekend with the unveiling of the honor wall in the Field of Honor, a permanent tribute recognizing veterans at the park. The event begins at 5:30 p.m.
East Valley Veterans Day Parade

Center Street and University Drive, Mesa
The theme of this year’s East Valley Veterans Day Parade is “Ready Then, ready Now: 250 Years of Military Service.” The event begins at 11 a.m. on Center St. and University Drive in Mesa, and runs south on Center St. to First St., turns west onto First St. and continues to robson. The grand marshal is U.S. Marine Corps veteran Corporal Bob Brutinel, who grew up in Arizona and fought in the Battle of Iwo Jima.
Goodyear veterans Day Festival

in the West Valley, the Veterans Day festival hosted by the city of Goodyear will include live music,patriotic murals,patriotic arts and crafts,a tribute flag garden,veterans resources and informational vendors,food trucks and more. hours are 5 to 8 p.m.
Heard Museum

The Heard hosts an event honoring Native American veterans. Admission is free for veterans and active military personnel.

Surprise Veterans Day Festivity
The city of Surprise hosts an annual Veterans Day event to show appreciation for the service of military personnel.

Location: surprise community Park, 15960 N Bullard Ave, surprise, AZ 85374
Details: The event features a parade beginning at 10:00 a.m., traveling along Bullard Avenue from Paradise Lane to Tierra buena Lane.Following the parade, a celebration with live music, food trucks, a beer garden, and children’s activities will continue until 3:00 p.m. Attendees can also pay their respects at the Veteran’s Reflection Circle outdoor memorial within the park.
Tempe Veterans Day Parade
The Tempe Veterans Day Parade is a long-standing tradition in the city, bringing together community members to honor veterans.
Date: November 11, 2024
Location: Begins at ASU Gammage, 1200 S. Forest Ave., Tempe, AZ 85281 and proceeds north on Mill Avenue to Tempe Beach Park.
Details: The parade begins at 10:00 a.m. and includes participants from the Tempe City Council, local Boy scout and Girl Scout troops, school marching bands, veterans groups, and community organizations. Volunteers distribute small American flags to children and veterans along the route.
West valley veterans Day Ceremony & Walk/Run (avondale)
In Avondale,Veterans Day is marked with both a physically active event and a formal ceremony.

Details: A 5K run/1K walk kicks off the day at 9:45 a.m.registration fees are $40 for the race and $25 for the walk, with proceeds benefiting the Dr. Ernest Lara – EMCC Veterans Scholarship Fund. Following the run/walk,a veterans ceremony will be held at 11:00 a.m.The Avondale Police and Fire Departments will provide interactive, family-friendly activities.
