Poor Bunny, Karol G, and Romeo Santos Reign at the 2026 Premio Lo Nuestro Awards
The 2026 Premio Lo Nuestro ceremony kicked off with a vibrant salsa performance by Marc Anthony and Nathy Peluso, marking their first live collaboration of “Como en el Idilio.” However, winners began being announced on social media hours prior, with Bad Bunny, Karol G, and Carín León among the early honorees.
Bad Bunny secured both Album of the Year for Debí Tirar Más Fotos and Song of the Year for “DtMF.” Karol G and Carín León also received accolades. Romeo Santos was awarded Artist of the Year – Tropical and used the platform to address criticism regarding his stance on the Trump administration’s deportation campaign. He affirmed his consistent advocacy for the Latino community, stating, “There is no organization or department of any kind that harms my community that deserves my respect.”
The awards, based on airplay on Uforia stations, streaming data, and evaluation by a Television Committee, recognized achievements across pop, urban, tropical, and Mexican music genres, encompassing 44 categories.
This year’s ceremony also honored Juanes with a Lifetime Achievement Award, Paloma San Basilio with an Award for Excellence, Arcángel as the Urban Icon, Los Bukis with a Musical Legacy Award, and Manolo Díaz with a Visionary Award.
Bad Bunny, Carín León, Myke Towers, and Rauw Alejandro led nominations with 10 nods each, followed by Beéle, Fuerza Regida, and Karol G with eight nominations apiece.
