Baduy Leaders Call for Surrender of jakarta Robbery Suspects

Traditional leaders from the interior of Lebak Regency, Banten province, have spoken out regarding the recent robbery experienced by Baduy residents while trading in the Cempaka Putih area of Central Jakarta.

Medi, a representative of the Baduy traditional community, directly urged anyone involved in the crime to turn themselves in to the police. He emphasized the importance of accountability and justice for the victims.

“We hope the perpetrator of this crime will surrender to the authorities,” stated Medi,who also serves as the Secretary of Kanekes Village in Lebak Regency. He made these remarks when contacted in Rangkasbitung, Lebak, on Thursday, November 6th.

The Baduy people are known for their strong adherence to tradition and peaceful way of life. This incident has understandably caused concern within the community, prompting this direct appeal from their leaders. They expect swift action and a resolution that reflects their values.
