Head-On Collision on Blanchard Furrh Road Leaves One Critically Injured
Shreveport, Louisiana – January 2, 2026 – A serious traffic incident involving a passenger vehicle and an 18-wheeler occurred Thursday afternoon on Blanchard Furrh Road near Greenwood Mooringsport Road, resulting in critical injuries for one individual. The Caddo Parish Sheriff’s office (CPSO) responded to the scene at approximately 4:53 p.m.
According to a statement released by the CPSO, the driver of the passenger vehicle sustained life-threatening injuries and was instantly transported to a local hospital for treatment. As of this writing, the condition of the driver remains critical. The driver of the 18-wheeler was evaluated at the scene and did not require hospitalization.
