Bruce Springsteen Announces Spring Tour, Continues Protest Against ICE
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band are set to embark on the Land of Hope and Dreams American Tour this spring, beginning on March 31 in Minneapolis. This announcement follows the release of Springsteen’s protest song, “Streets of Minneapolis,” which condemns the actions of federal immigration enforcement that resulted in the deaths of two individuals in the city.
Tour Dates and Venues
Springsteen announced the tour via social media, stating, “We will be rocking your town in celebration and in defense of America — American democracy, American freedom, our American Constitution and our sacred American dream — all of which are under attack.” He extended a welcome to all, regardless of their beliefs, inviting them to join the “United Free Republic of E Street Nation.”
The 20-date tour will primarily take place in arenas, culminating in a performance at Nationals Park in Washington, D.C. On May 27. These shows mark the band’s first North American performances since 2024.

“Streets of Minneapolis” – A Protest Anthem
Springsteen’s recently released single, “Streets of Minneapolis,” directly addresses the deaths of Alex Pretti and Renee Good, who were fatally shot by ICE agents. The lyrics denounce “federal thugs” and vow to remember the victims. Springsteen described the song as being written in response to the shootings, stating it was dedicated to the people of Minneapolis and the memory of Pretti and Good. Rolling Stone reports that Springsteen told Tom Morello he thought the song was “kinda soapboxy,” to which Morello replied, “Bruce, nuance is wonderful, but sometimes you have to kick them in the teeth.”
Benefit Concert Appearance with Tom Morello
Springsteen surprised audiences with an appearance at a benefit concert led by Tom Morello on January 30, 2026, at First Avenue in Minneapolis. The concert, titled “A Concert of Solidarity & Resistance to Defend Minnesota!”, aimed to raise funds for the families of Good and Pretti. The Current reports that Springsteen performed “Streets of Minneapolis” for the first time live at the event, followed by a rendition of “The Ghost of Tom Joad” with Morello. The Rock Revival notes that Morello also performed with Rise Against at the benefit.
KARE11 reports that Springsteen described the song’s lyrics as depicting a city under “an occupier’s boots,” referring to what he calls “King Trump’s private army.”
